How Much Can You Grow?

What can be planted in such a small area, you ask? Remember, each 4 x 4 square foot garden is divided into 16 growing areas.  Here is an example of what can be grown in one, 4×4 square foot garden:

And that is just the spring harvest! In late spring/early summer, you could replace each of these crops and grow, in the same garden, the following:

You could also plant a third crop in the same box for the fall/winter harvest using frost hardy plants, similar to those plants you had in the spring, but of course this depends on what growing zone, also known as hardiness zone, you may be in (Harrisburg area is zone 7a now).

So to sum it up, you can grow a lot in such a small area!
